Mission!

The purpose of this blog is to advance the idea that children’s literature (and other forms of children’s culture) are not just created for profit or for entertainment. Rather, they contain complex ideas, theories, and aesthetics that can be intellectually and artistically stimulating for people of all ages.

And, for the many who already believe this, I hope to curate a collage of inspiration and information for possible routes of study.

It is by no means comprehensive (especially in an effort to avoid redundancy); instead, I hope to pull together a wide diversity of thought-provoking items.

And last, I’m not an expert in this field, so this is a place for me to broaden my horizons, as well.
